A small grip out of the many photos I have made of the animal world in Alaska.

As you will see on the next page I have a lot of photos of mooses, due to the fact that we were staying in a house that was situated in a moose refuge.

The eagles are a normall sight, unfortunately I do not have too many photos of them, and the ones I do have (other than these)  kind of make you wonder if it wasn't just a speck of dust on the lens...

When we arrived in Alaska the calves we have seen were born last year and still being at their mothers side. About to be send into the world on their own.
The mother mooses preparing for the next calf.

The eagle sitting on the birdhouse is about a year old, this is a picture that was given to me by a colleague of my husband.

It struck me that most mooses you see are females, I do not believe that I have seen one single male during my stay.

After hearing the stories about people being kicked to death by mooses it made me carefull not to come too close, but a telelens does the trick and provided me with this beautiful close up.
