The forest is one of my favorite places to go.

These pictures are taken in a forest in the Netherlands.
As you can see on the first picture, this is a moist part of the woods, the trees are high, keeping the sun from drying the excess creating an excelent enviroment for moss to grow.

The humidity factor is high in the Netherlands, being a country below or at sea level we naturally have a lot of rain throughout the year.

The second picture is a typical Dutch sight, birch trees.
Birch trees grow every where in the Netherlands, a trea that grows well in the moist earth.

Willows are also a typical tree for the Netherlands, although unfortunately less trees seem to survive the expansion of  the cities.

All these pictures are taken during the winter season, as is the next one, the last sunbeams peering through the rain clouds.

And while driving back to the house I came across this beautiful sunset over this piece of heathland, you do have to take my word for it, since the heathland is not visible due to the sunset.

A beautiful ending of yet another day.
