These
photos are taken at different locations in Alaska, all in the direct
surroundings of Kenai and Soldotna. Cities at three hours distance from
Anchorage.
The first photo is taken at the beach in
Kenai, we have been there several times to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
The way the sun broke through the clouds to reflect in the water,
the light shades of pink in the early evening sky. The beginning of a
beautiful sunset.
The second picture is taken from the
boatlaunch near our first house in Soldotna, the river is the Kenai
river, we have witnessed the river turn from a competely covered
snowfield into this beautiful sight.
The third photo is one of the Kenai river,
taken from the wooden stairs at the house that leed down to the
riverbank. This photo was taken early spring, I was told that the spring
sat in earlier than normal this year. I had hoped to be able to witness
the breaking of the ice on the river, but unfortunately, maybe next
time.
While driving around looking for nice
places we stumbled on this beautiful view, this was the view on the
Sterling Highway towards Homer.
While driving past this magnificant view I
was looking for a open spot where we could stop and take a picture, you
know how that goes, we past the perfect spot and had to drive another
mile to find a spot to turn and head back.
Luckely my husband is just as excited about
the views as I am. |
